Aquamantra - Hydrating Bodies and Uplifting Spirits with Water
by Nicole Pugh
In the summer of 2005, local business owner and media marketing director Alexandra Teklak sat down to watch a movie. Little did she know at the time that this single act would change the direction of her life, and the health and well-being of many others, from that moment forward. What was the movie? What the Bleep Do We Know?, a ground-breaking film which discusses the nature of reality as seen through the lens of quantum mechanics. And the change? This movie, and especially the discussion on the mechanics of water put forth by Dr. Masaru Emoto (see article, pg 26-27), would begin for Teklak an investigation into the relationship between water flavor and energy.
"If words printed on a bottle of water can change it's molecular structure, then what would that water taste like?" she wondered. From that initial curiosity eventually came Aquamantraa creative, new water company launched by Teklak in June of 2006.
Aquamantra is definitely a company with a mission. "We want to provideŠa brand that will not just hydrate, but will engage and inspire our clients to create the reality they choose to live in," says the Aquamantra mission statement.
The concept is simple yet effective. Teklak takes bottles of pure, mountain spring water and labels them with affirmative sayings and artwork designed specifically for Aquamantra. There are three messages to choose from: I Am Loved, I Am Healthy and I Am Lucky. The result? According to Teklak, a water that not only provides a basic necessity to human life, it affirms and empowers as well.
"Aquamantra is energy-enhanced natural spring water," explains Teklak. "It is designed to remind people that they are creators of their reality. As they drink, it is a tool to remind them to say the mantra: I am loved, I am luck or I am healthy. They will be sending out a vibration which will attract more of that in their life."
The concept behind Aquamantra is based on the theory that water has a memory and the wavelengths of any vibration including thoughts, sounds and even written messages are imprinted on it. This theory was first introduced to the public by the publication of Dr. Emoto's water crystal photography. In the photos, water crystals are exposed to different written messages. Affirmative messages such as love, gratitude and thanks formed beautiful, symmetrical crystals while negative messages created warped crystals or none at all. Human beings are seventy percent water. Thus, it makes sense that the 'vibration' of the water we consume effects our emotional and physical well-being.
In addition to the messages, which are wrapped around each bottle, Teklak also employed the help of local artist Jesse Fortune to create artwork specifically designed to go with each message.
"Water is a conduit," says Teklak." What we are starting to learn is that it carries information on different frequency channels. This includes the water you feed your plants, you put your fish in and what you drinkŠWe are pre-tuning the water for people (and) putting that information into it."
But what about the taste? Aquamantra's I Am Healthy water recently won a Gold Metal at the Berkeley Springs International Water Competition. "The byproduct of what we have designed is the fabulous taste." says Teklak. "There is nothing in there except for natural spring water. Quantum physics is making it take great. The words are making it taste great. The water doesn't read anything except the information "I am loved, I have always been love."
Now that is a message worth thinking-and drinking-about.
Aquamatra can be found at all Whole Foods stores, as well as specialty and health food stores in Southern California, Arizona and Nevada, or on-line. A portion of all profits go to children's' charities. For more information,to obtain a list of product locations or to order water, go to www.aquamantra.com.
Back to Basics at Body Basics
by Fiona Gale
My experience at Body Basics got down to the basics emotional, mental and physical release. With three amazing treatments, all of which were new to me, I walked out of their office feeling much lighter physically, emotionally and mentally.
My first treatment at Body Basics was for Colon Hydrotherapy. If you ever thought of getting a colonic but just couldn't quite get yourself to make the appointment, consider this; tactfully put, most wellness professionals agree that we carry our "baggage" in our "baggage." If you feel sluggish because you areokay, let's just say itconstipated, then your mind also becomes "constipated". You become fuzzy, unfocused, negative, and in general do not function at your best.
I am a huge proponent of internal cleansing. However, I have to admit that I had many reservations about getting a colonic. Even though I felt a bit apprehensive, I knew that the procedure was going to make me feel much better. Cleansing the colon makes sense. Non-believers may say, "It's not natural." I ask the non-believer this: is taking a highly toxic chemical in the form of a laxative natural? Is eating a mass produced fast food hamburger natural?
Something I read recently brought to my attention the fact that we have a very odd view of elimination in our culture. This skewed viewpoint mostly forms during potty training. So it is not surprising that there is a lack of comfort when it comes to colon hydrotherapy. The colonic therapists at Body Basics are very keen to our culture's discomfort about the subject. They address these issues immediately in a way that eases the mind. My colon-hydrotherapist, Wendy, was highly professional, understood my concerns before I voiced them and knew exactly how to treat them. I knew I was in good hands. If you make the appointment, that's more than half the battle. From my first experience, I left feeling rejuvenated, clean, with a clear mind and a flatter tummy (which always makes me happy).
The next treatment was called Light Therapy. The process utilizes the I-Health Assessment and Treatment System. My I-Health expert, Kathleen Petryshyn, and I decided to focus on emotional healing, core belief and trauma release. It was quite emotionally pain free. There was no need to "dig things up"- although during my treatment, I did work through and release some core beliefs about myself that were untrue. While Kathleen asked me questions, she placed an instrument called a "Light Pen" on my fingers, toes and different areas of the body. This pen allows sound and light wave frequencies into the meridiansthe channels of energy (chi) throughout the body that acupuncture is based upon. She described it as "digital acupuncture", a combination of ancient Chinese wisdom and cutting edge technology.
The I-Health System is a "bio-energetic application that is aimed at balancing the individual energetic system, including meridians and chakras and harmonizing and optimizing the energy levels." The computer assesses the data and presents it in an easily understood report in chart form. The chart shows you where energy imbalances are occurring in the body. The computer program was accurate for me since it indicated the area of my body that was troubling me the most. As with acupuncture, the I-Health treatment left me relaxed at a deep level. I also felt better about myself and was emotionally lighter.
The last treatment was the lymphatic drain through a footbath. The water I placed my feet in is treated by a machine called "Aqua Chi" which ionizes the water (a high electrical charge called a negative ion which gives the water molecule a high energy and life force). The ocean is full of negative ions. This is the reason we feel so good in and around it. During the foot bath the energy entry point is through the feet. Toxins are also released through the feet. You can literally watch the water become dirty. The color of the water, the foam and particles that appear will tell you what part of your body is the most toxic. My water turned black (liver) with dark green foam (gallbladder) and a few black flecks (heavy metals)Šyuk.
At the end of my time at Body Basics, I received a rejuvenating vibrating foot rub that got me ready to walk back to my car into the concrete jungle where I will unavoidably acquire some new toxins. A little detoxing now and then never hurt anyone. I will certainly treat myself to another mind and body cleanse again and again. Happy cleansing!
